Glamorgan appoint Michael Hogan as first-class captain

The 36-year-old Australian fast bowler replaces the retired Jacques Rudolph, with South African batsman Colin Ingram captaining the Welsh side in limited-overs cricket.

Glamorgan chief executive Hugh Morris said: "We are very fortunate to have two excellent leaders within the squad and the decision to appoint Michael and Colin was unanimous by our committee.

"By splitting the captaincy during a busy season both players can bring fresh impetus across the different formats.

"Both Michael and Colin are terrific role models, who have already done a great deal in helping us develop the exciting young Welsh talent we have at Glamorgan and they will continue to do so in leading the team."
